“Teach us to number our days…” Psalm 90:12
We live in a world where time is a precious commodity. All of us often feel that twenty four hours is not enough. “Wish I could get a couple of extra hours everyday” is what we tell ourselves! But life is finite! God has given all of us an equal amount of time each day. A new born baby and the most successful man on earth, all have the same amount of time. What matters then is how we spend that time
Moses prayed in Psalm 90:12, “Teach us to number our days.” This prayer reminds us of the reality that our lives are finite. Human beings come with an expiry date. Before we reach our expiry date, are we investing our time in what matters most? Everyday, we come across numerous people whose lives can be encouraged and blessed – only if we take some time out for them! Our spouse, children, parents, siblings, colleagues, neighbours, friends and even a stranger we meet are our opportunities to encourage and bless daily!
Are we investing our time wisely?
